Aloha!

My name is Amy. I’m a small business owner based out of Sacramento, wife and mom to two young boys. For the past 15 years, my husband Matt and I have explored the world seeking adventure and relaxation. While we have found incredible vacation destinations worldwide, our hearts always lead us right back to Maui.

If I’m not working or playing with my kids, you will find me on the computer either researching like crazy for our next trip itinerary or sharing travel advice with others on social media. It makes me so happy when I can answer another traveler’s question and help them make their next vacation, their best vacation.

Backstory

A while back, Matt suggested that we live in Maui for a month each year. He was joking (I thought) but that idea got planted and quickly began to take root. It took two years of searching through countless properties around the island to find our perfect place. When we walked into “the one” and saw the incredible ocean view, we knew that we were finally going to be Maui homeowners.

Anthurium House is our front row, ocean view condominium located at the beautiful South Kihei community of Maui Kamaole (where ironically we spent our honeymoon). Our front lanai leads out to a large grassy area where we enjoy listening to the birds in the morning, and watching whales by day and sunsets at night. You can see from the islands of Kahoʻolawe and Lana’i all the way to the West Maui Mountains. We think it is pretty special and hope you experience it for yourself someday.

Sharing My Secrets

In Maui, our favorite things to do include snorkeling, exploring the island, beach hopping, eating at Mama’s Fish House, and walking the beachfront path in Wailea at sunset. The island is truly magical, and I feel so fortunate to call it my second home. I know that many people will only be able to visit Maui once in their lifetime, so I want to share my secrets to help others spend their time and money wisely.

I hope you enjoy the tips, tricks and activities I’ve provided on this website. When you learn the Secrets of Maui, you will never be afraid that you booked the wrong place or are missing a “must do” activity from your itinerary. I believe that no advice should be generic and offer customized personal recommendations if needed.
