I have to admit, I’m not much of a shopper. So on a recent girls trip with 3 of my closest friends from college, I probably did more shopping than all 20+ of my previous trips combined. While I would have rather been relaxing on the beach, I decided to appreciate the time spent “researching” and bought a few things myself.

Souvenir shopping stops included ABC Stores, Whalers General Store, Shops of Wailea, Kihei Kalama Village, Kihei Craft Fair & Flea Market, and even some stores on the Road to Hana (some more than once)!

SECRET: For best prices and a big selection of souvenirs, check out the Kihei Craft Fair & Flea Market!

Kihei Craft Fair & Flea Market

Located across the street from Long’s in Kihei (see photo of map below), the Kihei Craft Fair & Flea Market doesn’t look like much from the outside. However, the booths offer a lot of the same items for sale found at the other locations mentioned above for much cheaper, plus room to negotiate. (I’m guessing it’s because their rent is lower.)

Wear sunscreen and it’s helpful to have cash. I got a beautiful wrap robe and all of us purchased cool Maui hats that were screen printed on site at our favorite booth toward the back.

The Hex Press

The hat booth owner shares his space with the Hex Press, another place for one of a kind gifts. The owner of the Hex Press is usually there carving custom designs right in front of you. Choose a design, pick a shirt and then watch him print it just for you!

Open daily 9:00 am – 4 pm
